Renata Muzzi is a partner at the Compliance & Investigation practice group of TozziniFreire Advogados in Brazil, who has particular expertise in complex internal investigations. Her experience includes advising companies, boards of directors and independent committees on prevention, detection, response, and remediation of complex matters related to compliance and anti-corruption.

She routinely advises clients in structuring and implementing compliance and anti-corruption programs in different industry sectors, conducting cross-border internal investigations, conducting risk assessments and pre-acquisition due diligence in M&A transactions, and advisory matters, especially those involving risk mitigation in compliance and anti-corruption. She also represents clients in the interaction with government authorities, especially in the context of settlements and leniency agreements.

She was the first Brazilian to obtain the certification Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) granted by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in 2008 and attended the FBI Compliance Academy of the U.S Department of Justice.
