Head of the Compliance & Investigation group and member of TozziniFreire’s Executive Committee, Shin focuses her practice on high-end compliance matters, internal investigation and crisis management.
She is considered a pioneer in the development of this field in Brazil, with a very active role in several international and national organizations and forums, not only as a frequent speaker, but also as serving as a Board member at The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) & Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA), and as co-chair at the Brazilian Chapter of WWCDA. She also co-headed the creation of the Latin American Compliance & Investigation League (LACIL), composed of the top Latin American law firms that stand out in this practice.
Shin is specialized in the strategic coordination of cases involving corporate investigations, anti-corruption and bribery matters. In addition to assisting clients in the establishment of structures, internal controls and processes for the prevention, detection and response to corporate fraud and corruption, she also counsels companies on complying with legal and regulatory demands, corporate principles and corporate governance, training and providing clients with the best practices in each industry.
Also highly regarded in the corporate field with over 25 years of experience in M&A, Shin is head of TozziniFreire’s Asia Practice Group, directly coordinating the Korea Desk, especially assisting these companies on their inbound and outbound investments.
