Carolina Lobato is an experienced General Counsel with a diverse background in legal leadership. Currently serving as Group Legal Vice President for South Africa, Brazil, Chile, and Peru at Anglo American, Carolina joined the company as Head of Legal Brazil in 2020. She has spearheaded significant cultural and digital transformations within the Group Legal in Brazil, is a member of the Executive Board of the Brazilian unit and serves as a Board Member at Ferroport and Anglo Minas Rio. With over 18 years of experience as a legal executive, Carolina began her career in the private sector and later worked as a lawyer at Kinross Gold in 2010, adding multiple experiences in major mining transactions, international law and environmental licensing. She holds a law degree from FUMEC University, an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh/USA, and has pursued further education at Boston University and Yale.
