Miguel Tornovsky is a partner at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, having joined its São Paulo office in 2002. He practises in the firm’s corporate area with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and capital markets. Tornovsky has a law degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1996) and an LLM from Columbia Law School (2000), and is admitted to practise in Brazil (1997) and in NY (2002). He worked as a foreign associate of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York (2000–2002). He is also a professor of corporation law in the LLM programme of Insper – Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa in São Paulo. Tornovsky is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and proficient in French.
