André Margato is a senior legal executive with extensive experience in multinational environments across the engineering, heavy industry and agribusiness sectors. He currently serves as Head of Legal, Compliance & Privacy for JCB in Latin America + Mexico, leading legal teams across seven countries and acting as a strategic advisor to the regional board. In this role, André is directly involved in corporate governance, regulatory risk mitigation, high-complexity contracts (including EPC, M&A and joint ventures), ethics & compliance, data protection (LGPD and GDPR), and the legal structuring of new business initiatives.Previously, André held senior legal and contract administration roles in large-scale EPC projects, including power plants and offshore infrastructure developments. His work focused on contractual governance, dispute prevention, and the integration of legal, technical and commercial decision-making — with a strong emphasis on proactive contract administration as a tool to anticipate and manage claims, variations, delays and interface risks.
