Latin American and international law firms and companies.

We welcome all individuals and organisations who meet the criteria of the relevant category to apply for the awards.

For Deal of the Year: International firms and companies can submit one deal per category. International firms’ local law offices and Brazilian can each make one separate submission per category.

For Individual Awards: We accept self-nominations. Firms can also nominate each other. Each firm can make one nomination per category.

Latin Lawyer will not disclose any details of a submission, unless the submission is selected for an award. In this case, information provided in the submission may be included in our coverage of the award. Please clearly indicate any information that must be kept confidential in the submission.

The Latin Lawyer editorial team makes the final decision on the winners.

We will announce shortlists for each category in our daily news briefing as well as the Latin Lawyer website, with winners announced on the night of the awards. 

The Latin Lawyer editorial team evaluate applicants' evidence-based submissions and conducts vigorous research to make final decision on the winners.

Winner information is embargoed until the evening ceremony. 

All winners from the Latin Lawyer Awards will receive a physical award at the ceremony for their winning category.

If you are unable to make the event, we will ask you to provide us with the contact details of someone who could accept the award on your behalf.

The dress code is business attire.

There is valet parking in the hotel’s on-site car park from BRL60 for 12 hours.

The ceremony is an in-person event only.

The arrival time for guests of Latin Lawyer Awards ceremony is 6:30 PM BRT. Guests can enjoy our opening drinks reception until 8:00 PM BRT where the seated dinner will commence. We will then proceed with the awards presentation at 9:30 PM BRT until 11:00 PM BRT.

Unfortunately, Latin Lawyer does not cover travel and accommodation costs for this event.

There will be no speeches from any winners at the ceremony except the lifetime achievement winners.
